frankie sims art: ARTIST OF THE MONTH for November at Saint Alphonsus . About 45 new works have been put up, smaller than what you normally see on the art wall. Nearly all are less than $100, making them the perfect pick-up and take for Christmas gifts or other gift giving during the year. It took a lot of work and coordination with my team to make this all happen. We could have hung even more, but there was a shortage of hanging wires and hooks!. The sweet, comptetnt retired nurses who did the hard word of installation, said they were not unhappy about that. They said they now have back-up pieces to replace those that sell. Each different. A variety of my paintings and of my unique photography. The art wall is open to the public at no cost, During the day and into the evening, the easiest access is throug the S2 entrance. Otherwise come in through the main entrance. Plenty of people around. Ask someone to direct you to the art wall. Through the end of November.

NOVEMBER 28, “BLACK FRIDAY”

frankie sims art at

Edwards Greenhouse Maker’s Market

Edwards Greenhouse,
4106 Sand Creek St., Boise 83701

10a - 3p

frankie sims art: is among the local artisans participating in the MAKER’S MARKET this year, put on by Edward’s Greenhouse. Edward’s is a great supporter of the community in general, and local artists in particular, hosting the members of Plein Air Painters of Idaho weekly, allowing us access to the nursery to paint to our hearts content. Edwards offered PAPI the opportinity for its members to participate in the Maker’s Market, and as a member of PAPI, frankie sims art will be there.

I am setting up for one day only, Black Friday, of this three day event, and will have available art many of you have not seen before, especially if you’ve only seen my work here. I will have for sale a variety of original small formate paintings, greeting cards, gift enclosure cards, hand painted bag tags, prints and posters of larger works and more… Please come take a look

NOW THROUGH THE END OF NOVEMBER

More updating coming… stand by…..

Iconic Idaho en Plein Air - Riverside Hotel

including frankie sims art

frankie sims art: is pleased to have a piece showing among the many spectacular, beautiful works of the accomplished members of the Plein Air Painters of Idaho. The group is showing their members’ works in a special exhibit at the riverside hotel, called Iconic Idaho. What makes these paintings more unique than most, is that they are created from start to finish entirely on location. Most plein air artists put themselves in nature. The show at the Riverside Hotel features artists’ interpretations as they stood painting at the feet of mountains, along side river banks, in flower and rock gardens, and so much more. There is one among them that was not painted outside. She -me- painted live inside Goody’s ice cream parlor in Hyde Park one evening, as afternoon became night, people, especially children, came and went, enxited by the colors and enticed by the ideas of the brightly colored treats surrounding them. While it does stand out, it is not the stand out among the works on display. I invite you to come see all the work, and the winners of the judged show, before they disappear.

It’s easy to say “my” art… but “my” art is not all mine. “My” art is not my creation alone. There are people I consider part of my team although they did not specifically sign-up for that role. They add their artistic touches, their expertise to my work, finishing it so it is ready for sale or display. If it were not for them, my art would not even exist:

Karl Gray of Gray’s Art and Framing who doesn’t just frame, but is kind enough to lend me his extensive expertise in color and design to bring out the best in my work.

At Roots Family Printing, Craig Collett uses such skill and care to print my photographic art so beautifully. Angie is there too to take in my pieces and help me decide exactly what i want to do with it.

. Nathan, a working artist in his own right, and the manager of printing at the UPS stores in Nampa, is there to bail me out ALL the time. He has been with me since i began frankie sims art.

And two fabulous artists and teachers, Candy Canning owner of Catalyst Arts Cooperative, and globally recognized watercolor artist Linda Aman, who i’m honored to call my mentors and friends.

No them, no frankie sims art.

thank you to them. I strongly recommend each and every one of them as professionals and as people if you ever are looking for their services. No, none of them pay me anything or pay me off in anyway to say these things.

-or-
if you would like to share in my erratically posted gratitude journal, send your email -phone number is a good idea too- on this form and let me know how i can help.

If there’s no price up on a particular painting yet, i’ll let you know how much and everything else you might want to know. All of the paintings have been priced, i have encountered more than a few issues posting that.

Sorry to say I now rarely am on Instagram. Still cannot access with my phone. IG says it’s dropping most of my followers unless i can prove i know them personally (huh?), and that my account seems suspicious. I’m flummoxed and fed up. If you would like to see some older work, it’s still on IG, but i don’t know for how long..

If i can find a way to post, I will!
